New York, the symbol of affluence, opulence, and unfettered individualism, is the setting for this film. It follows the extraordinary religious commitment of several Frenchmen within a Franciscan community in the Bronx that provides help for the poor.
The film looks at the daily evangelising activities of the French and American brothers as they approach passersby to bring them “the good word”, just as was done during the times of the first Christians.
