RETURN TO PHNOM PENH, WITH CHRISTINE SPENGLER, PHOTOGRAPHER
Director : Fabienne Strouvé-Beckers

Christine Spengler, one of the few female war correspondents, returns to Phnom Pen which she photographed while it was being bombed in 1974.
By coincidence, on 15th April 1998, during the shooting of the film, Pol Pot dies of a heart attack. Faced with all the evidence from the past, Christine remembers. She meets people, survivors from the past, whom she met at the time of the Khmers Rouges, such as journalists or her rickshaw driver… Using a hand-held camera and filming up close, the film-maker accompanies Christine Spengler as she recounts her memories and gives us her personal impressions.
